Maybird
Maybird was born in the summer of 2013 when singer/songwriter Josh Netsky performed at a small concert in the woods of upstate New York called the Stone Mill gathering. It was there that serendipity brought Netsky and his brother (drummer) Adam Netsky together with long-time guitarist Sam Snyder and new addition Kurt Johnson - and things clicked.

Mostly recorded in the basement studio at the Stone Mill, as well as various apartments in the Rochester area, their debut 'Turning Into Water' EP paints a picture of the sonic array that resulted from that night. The track 'Big Sun Explosion' was discovered by Danger Mouse and released on his label 30th Century Record's first compilation in late 2015. The EP's release followed shortly after. Currently the band is recording a follow up LP and exploring some new sounds.

The Feeds
Let’s hear it for catchy love songs kicked in the butt by loud amps. Enter: The Feeds.

The Feeds are a North Carolina trio delivering terrific melodies and chunky riffs that tip their collective hat to the full lineage of power-pop, from the Raspberries to Cheap Trick to Bob Mould’s Sugar.

Will Marley plays guitar and sings, Greg Clayton plays drums and Paul Walz plays bass.

Marley and Clayton previously played in Lustre, which was fortunate enough to release a woefully underappreciated album on A&M Records (well, at least Playboy magazine got it…) before succumbing to the great music industry implosion at the end of the last century. For The Feeds, the duo has hooked up with bassist Walz, and pick up directly where Lustre left off, dialing back the distortion a tad but still piling on the hum-inducing hooks and muscular Marshall tones that made them such a winner in the first place.

The Feeds have recorded some killer tracks and are playing live shows. Listen to/See them as soon as possible. Trust me on this.
