Hailing from Durham,NC, Voidward is a seamless mix of swaggering classic rock and metal, the cold grey horizons of Bathory and swirling, murky psychedelia.

Morbids
Edward Lear was born in 1812 in a small village on the outskirts of London, the 20th out of 21 children, though many of them died in infancy. His father had made good as a stockbroker in the city, but when Lear was four years old his father ran into debt. To ease the strain on his mother, he was put in the charge of his eldest sister, Ann, who was 22 years older than himself. It was shortly after this that he had his first attack of epilepsy, an illness that never left him and that he was to call ‘the demon’, and which later were followed by acute attacks of depression, what Lear was to call ‘the Morbids’. These afflictions were a deep source of sorrow and suffering for him throughout his life.

These biographical notes have been taken from the Introduction to The Corfu Years, Denise Harvey.
The Kneads
The Kneads
With their debut album ‘Letting You Let Me Down’ on Durham's Potluck label, The Kneads weave a sonic tapestry celebrating a bygone era, graced at one time by the likes of Polvo, Pavement, Superchunk, and Fugazi. Through syncopated rhythms, dissonant chord structures, and a pop sensibility, Greensboro, North Carolina’s The Kneads sling 90s indie rock and D.C. hardcore-hash with reckless abandon – and all within a 40-hour work week!
In 2016, The Kneads shared the stage with some incredible bands including Beach Slang, Lee Baines & the Glory Fires, Positive No, Diarrhea Planet, Spider Bags, Ne-Hi, Best Behavior, Totally Slow, Horizontal Hold, LeBaron, Stray Owls, Harrison Ford Mustang, Blunt Bangs, State Champion, Big Bliss, Knurr & Spell, Hectorina, Caustic Cassanova, and Long Arms. New year, new shows!!!
At the helm of ‘Letting You Let Me Down’ is the legendary Jerry Kee, chief engineer and owner of Duck Kee Studios in Mebane, N.C. Having recorded a number of seminal North Carolina bands throughout his career, Kee’s tweaking and tutelage helped sculpt The Kneads’ sound recording into an essential primary document. We hope you dive in and enjoy the ride.

Sincerely,
The Kneads
