Down By Five
Down By Five have been playing locally and regionally for several years in North Carolina and surrounding areas. We have shared the stage with The Expendables, Passafire, Ballyhoo, Badfish, and Sun-Dried Vibes among others. We are the founders/hosts of Roots Rock Raleigh, a yearly showcase of up and coming local and regional reggae/rock/ska bands, which had its 3rd year running in 2017. DB5 have also played Irie Vibes Music Festival and Carrboro Music Festival.

2016 saw a major lineup change with drummer Patrick Moseley and bassist Ty Howe joining founding member/frontman TJ Cowhey and lead guitarist Dan Dehler. As the completed band wrote new material, the songs continued to get funkier and heavier, focusing on riff-driven heavy rock while staying true to the band's reggae-rock roots. TJ's catchy vocal hooks, Dan's heavy rock 'n roll guitar sound, Ty's funky bass lines and vocal harmonies, and Patrick's aggressive prog metal/fusion drumming style came together to make a really creative, original sound that is accessible to a wide audience.

We are currently recording a new album, tentatively entitled "Warriors" which will be released in late 2017/early 2018.

For fans of: Green Day, Blink-182, Sublime

Formed in Great Falls, Montana in 2007 by singer/guitarist Andrew Phelps and bass player Chris Fields, Six Shots Later relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina in search of more fruitful music scene. With the addition of drummer Adam Phelps and guitarist Jordan Gilmore in 2012, SSL is now ready to bring their music to a wider audience. "I think the whole music community knows that feel good party music is dying... but Six Shots Later is here to resuscitate it. We are a party band", says Phelps about his band which is influenced by the likes of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fall Out Boy and Sublime. With a positive attitude, catchy songs and perseverance, these NC rockers are ready to bring it. The question is, are you ready?
